The house
A courtyard house that kept its quiet.
Sodamjae was built in 1938 by a family of rice merchants. We spent three years taking it apart beam by beam and putting it back with the same pine, the same clay, the same paper.
Today it holds three rooms around one courtyard and a maple tree. There is no lobby and no television — just a kettle in every room, a host who lives next door, and the old city at the end of the lane.
Yuna & Jaeho, your hostsWe live in the house across the lane and serve breakfast every morning.
Rooms
Three rooms, one courtyard.
Every room has its own bath, a heated ondol floor and breakfast for two. Prices are per night, taxes included.
Experiences
Slow mornings, short walks.
Small things we do every day for our guests, and one we do when you ask.
After dark
When the lanterns come on, the courtyard belongs to the three rooms around it.
